This is another dress that I designed
myself. It is based on the general design of Gondorian dresses (empire
waist, sleeveless overdress). I’ve got the materials to make this
dress but now I just have to find time to sew it. The materials are
crepe-like and are silky to the touch. The underdress will be gray,
the overdress will be brown and the cape will be black.
Here is a screen capture from the
Return of the King. I know it's just the top, but it shows the sleeveless
overdress.

**Update**
4/19/04 - Just went to see Return
of the King for the fourth time. I watched very closely during all
the Gondor scenes and discovered the worst thing. Gondorian peasants
don't wear light brown. So, I have to throw that color out. I will
replace it with either a darker gray or a dirty dark blue. Depends
on what Wal-Mart has on the dollar-a-yard rack.
