Dream Dress

This was the first Lord of the Rings costume that I made. See, my friends and I were at Wal-Mart and there, on the dollar-a-yard rack, was this awesome light blue polyester that just screamed “Dream Dress!” Now, when fabric screams at you, it is impossible to ignore it. So, I bought the entire bolt. 15 yards total. I ended up making 2 Dream Dresses and a Uruviel dress with the 15 yards. It was the perfect color for the Uruviel dress. However, it was a little too blue for the Dream Dress. Oh, well. I think that it looks beautiful.

The Dream Dress was majorly easy to make but there are a limited number of pictures of it. There are step-by-step instructions on AlleyCatScratch now. Of course, I made mine before the instructions were there so my pattern was a result of staring at the movie for hours. I think that the finished dress looks pretty awesome for $6 total (including the underdress).
