Blood Red Dress

This is an amazing dress that Arwen wears in some amazing scenes. I love the part where she is lying on her death bed and Liv Tyler says, “I wish I could have seen him one last time.” Sigh. Anyway, this dress is beautiful! I was making this for a friend to wear to the Return of the King premiere but it wasn’t done in time. In fact, it still isn’t done! It is kinda on hold because I have a million other things to do (like college). But eventually this dress will be finished.

We wanted the look of the original without paying the outrageous prices of silk velvet (darn Ngila Dickson). So, we decided to make the dress out of crushed panne velvet.
